Lots of paper

First week of class. Almost every class I have is in the same room. There is a LOT of reading to do. So far I'm pretty sure finance is going to kick my ass. I'm just not very good with numbers. I've been keeping up with the reading but some of the stuff just feels so above me. I got some of the homework questions right so far but most of them I've gotten wrong. Hopefully I'm not "that one guy" that you always hear about.

You know, I feel rather personable towards people but I start to see people pairing off into little groups. This is kind of wierd to me. I'm rather friendly but I don't see a reason to pair off. There are a few people that I like but thats about all.

I'm not even thinking about dating while I'm in this program. Too damb much to deal with. I've got work to deal with. In a situation like this you have three things to do:

Work/School/Date

Circle two. Thats it. I just can't balance things.

Orientation

Tomorrow is orientation. I'm not too sure what the need for orientation over a week is, but its a small program and so I guess this is a "meet and greet" type thing. We also get to register for courses.

I wonder if there's a math help course I can take.

I H8 Math

I am awful at math. I had a math review course last thursday and friday and it kicked my ass. I haven't really touched derivatives in nearly a decade and don't even bother asking me about logs. I hope to god this isn't the whole program.

Math has never been my strong suite. Well, not all math. Some things I'm rather good at like Trig. Its calculus that I have so much trouble with. I can sort of remember matrix manipulation but I can barely recall natural logs and whatnot. I'm going to need LOTS of tutoring in order to do this. Thats what I had to do last time.

So Long Folks

Well, yesterday was my last full day at work. They had a party for me and most of the people in the department came, I never really thought I could touch so many people. I even got a bunch of emails telling me how much I would be missed. Yesterday I sort of packed up all my stuff and copied all the relevant data off my computer.

I kind of felt sad the entire day yesterday. My job has been very good to me for the past 5 years or so. I am going to miss it, but they're keeping me on as a part-time worker now so I have a source of income.

Money money money

I got a scholarship. Not much of one, but money is money. I'm having fun. Now I have to plan a budget. Fortunately I don't eat much. Oh, than and amazon has good prices on books.

All quiet on the western front

Nothing has happened in the past 2 months or so. Sort of been wrapping up some loose ends but im not really doing anything. My last day at work is tomorrow. I guess I'm staying on as a part-timer for awhile longer but thats about it. I gott clean out my office. I've already got a bunch of stuff I need to get rid of but nothing serious.
